Squadron 42 is on Steam now, and it says Q2 2027

Squadron 42, the single-player story game set in the Star Citizen universe, now has a Steam page and a planned Q2 2027 release. Chris Roberts, the creator of Wing Commander, says development started in 2014. The new trailer shows first-person sections, a hacking minigame and ship combat, with you as a rookie in the UEE Navy on a capital ship. The cast includes Mark Hamill, Gary Oldman, Gillian Anderson, Henry Cavill and Andy Serkis. It was planned for late 2026 and was pushed in August so it wouldn't launch next to GTA 6. Star Citizen itself has raised over a billion dollars and still has no release window. #Squadron42 #StarCitizen #ChrisRoberts #PCGaming #GamingNews #shorts
