Control Resonant has sold more than one million copies about three weeks after its September 24 launch, which makes it the fastest-selling game in Remedy Entertainment's 31-year history. The previous record was Alan Wake 2, which took about two months to reach a million, and more than a year and two million copies before it started making Remedy money. Control Resonant is the Control sequel: you play Dylan Faden, Jesse's brother, and the game moves out of the Oldest House into Manhattan. It was cracked shortly after its digital launch, and on a piracy subreddit people encouraged each other to buy it anyway: "I wasn't planning to buy it but now I feel like I should." CEO Jean-Charles Gaudechon called it "a very strong start" and said it's Remedy's first self-published release of this scale. Remedy shares its Q3 business review on November 3, which is when we'll see if it made money.
